Event Detection

Engine Start/Stop

Used by some firefighting agencies around the world to help process electronic flight operation returns (eFOR), the AFDAU-T1 employs a number of advanced methods to ensure the most accurate detection of an engine on or off state.

Take-off/Landing

Used by some firefighting agencies around the world to help process electronic flight operation returns (eFOR), the AFDAU-T1 employs a number of advanced methods to ensure the most accurate detection of an airborne or on ground state.

 

For amphibious type aircraft, the AFDAU-T1 will detect a water landing to allow agencies and operators to differentiate a standard take-off landing event signal.

Hover Start/Stop

Using a GPS input, the AFDAU-T1 accurately detects entry and exit from hover as required and generates the associated events.

Bucket/Tank Fill

.Fill Start: The AFDAU-T1 will detect a Fill Start event when the volume reported by the interfaced gauge of the selected container, such as bucket, tank or hopper, increases substantially in a fashion characteristic of a fill of that type of container

Fill Stop: The AFDAU-T1 will detect a Fill/Fill Stop event when the selected container, such as bucket, tank or hopper, volume stabilises.  The following additional data is also included with the event: Volume, Product Type (Water, GEL, Foam, Retardent) and Contianer Type (Tank, Bucket)

 

Bucket/Tank Drop

Drop Start:  Monitoring the containers load sensing device (load cell or volume gauge) the AFDAU-T1 detects the start of substanlial flow and generates a Drop Start event.  The following additional data can also be included with the event: Drop Type (SPLIT, FULL, NA), Coverage, Height AGL, Product Type, Drop Pair ID and Container Type.

Drop Stop: Once a Drop Start is detected the AFDAU-T1 monitors the flow of contents from the container until the end of a substantive flow, generating a Drop Stop event. The following additional data is also included in the event: Volume, Drop Type, Height AGL,  Drop Pair ID, Container Type.

 

Hover Fill Pump On/Off

As required by a firefighting agencies, the AFDAU-T1 detects and generates hover pump on/off events.
