The DCS1100 is FAA and EASA STC approved as a data collection system that gathers real-time power train parameters from the VEMD crosstalk channels and records it at 1Hz resolution for post flight analysis. -AKV Inc.

The team at Airborne Mission Systems have recently added integration capability to the AFDAU-T1, expanding on the data captured during aircraft event detection.

The added benefits of integrating to the DCS1100 are:

  • Fuel Flow reporting between various stages of flight
    • Get even more insight into operation costs of your aircraft with highly accurate fuel usage reports
  • Simplified and Enhanced Engine and Flight event detection
    • Normally a collective switch and oil pressure switch provides discrete inputs to the AFDAU to allow it to detect Engine and Flight events, however with the DCS1100 integration these switches are no longer required. Events are detected by Realtime information being processed from the VEMD. This simplifies installation and makes the event detection process much more reliable.

Given the wide range of power train parameters captured by the DCS1100 system there are many more applications that can be served to AFDAU-T1 customers. If your business has a data reporting requirement, this may be the solution for you, please get in touch to see how we can help.

A new release firmware enabling this feature is expected to be released in Q3 of 2023 and will be available to all existing and new AFDAU-T1 customers free of charge.
